What is Sit Stay Fetch?
SitStayFetch is an online dog training course offering a detailed and thorough look at how to prevent and deal with many of the common problem behaviors of dogs. I own a Red Heeler puppy, and I’ve spent more than my share of time searching the web for a dog training course that would help me to fix and deal with his many idiosyncrasies, and I’ve found it in the Sit Stay Fetch book.
The level of knowledge and detail contained in the book are unusual for a dog training ebook, and I believe this is because it’s written by a seasoned dog trainer, Daniel Stevens. Therefore, you can rest assured that the tips and advice contained within the book are tried and true, since they come from the authors real-life experiences as a professional dog trainer.
What dog obedience tips are covered?
There is an impressive range of information packed into the ebook. It doesn’t just deal with dog behavior problems – though that’s a large part of the book. It also addresses all of the following topics:
-
New dog owner advice. How to choose a puppy or dog, dog breed information, the best places to get one, dog-proofing your home, housetraining, etc.
-
Dog behavioral problems. Aggression, dominance, digging, excessive barking, chewing, to name a few.
-
Intermediate-level obedience commands
-
Health-related problems, such as allergies, dog/cat coexistence, fleas, etc.
-
Advanced commands and tricks
What about Dog Whispering?
Dog whispering is a technique that’s become extremely popular in recent years because of a TV Show called The Dog Whisperer by Cesar Millan. It’s becoming an increasingly well-known method of disciplining and training your dog, based on a philosophy of clear communication and mutual respect. Imagine that! SitStayFetch has dedicated an entire section to dog whispering. Daniel Stevens explains the background of the technique, how to utilize voice and body language to your best advantage, and how to use the techniques to calmly correct and train your dog. It also includes step-by-step instruction on the common commands, such as sit, come, stay, down, and quiet.
Do I get anything else – free hopefully?
Lots of things you buy on the web include a bunch of free add-ons that really don’t add on anything! I’m happy to say that SitStayFetch includes numerous freebies that are actually useful!
The ebook itself costs only $37, which includes a complete, detailed manual on training your dog, preventing and handling behavior problems, and a whole lot of general dog training advice and tips. After all, how many people only have one issue with their dog? Usually it’s a bunch of stuff they need help with; I know that’s true for me! For instance, my heeler won’t stay off the furniture, he jumps up on people, he eats poop (yuck), he tries to be dominant over the kids and the other dog, and that’s just before breakfast! This book deals with all of those things, and much more!
You also get the following practical freebies:
-
Four bonus books, dealing with advanced housetraining how-to’s, resolving canine aggression, how to effectively groom your dog, and how to begin training your dog for security work.
-
A personalized consultation with a member of the Kingdom of Pets team. If you have an issue that you need individual attention on, send them an email and you’ll receive back a personalized reply packed with expert advice and practical tips.
What’s the bottom line on this dog training course?
Overall, this is a pretty impressive package. I thought I knew a lot about dogs, but I didn’t know anything compared to what’s included in this manual. For instance, do you know how to stop your dog from tugging on the leash without using a check-chain? Didn’t think so – but you will after you read this book!
Many of the training methods are just common-sense techniques for dog obediance training; others require a little more effort (like dog whispering) but they yield dramatic results. One thing that’s cool is that more than one dog training technique is detailed, which allows the individual to choose the technique that works best for them and their particular dog.
I have no reservations recommending the Sit Stay Fetch book to anyone who owns, or is thinking about owning a dog. It’s not just for owners of “problem dogs”; there is also tons of useful information for any dog owner.
In a nutshell: Highly Recommended!
